Classic American meals

I tried to pick some ideas I did not see much.

Sandwiches: French dip, patty melt, corned beef on rye, Reuben, hamburgers, BLT, beer brats, cheesesteak, meatball sub, sloppy joes (saw it mentioned but a favorite of mine)

Fried: Buffalo wings, fried chicken/Nashville hot chicken, corn dogs, fried catfish, mozzarella sticks

More deer specific : venison picante, chislic, fajitas, beef stroganoff, another vote for chili but Cincinnati chili

I could go on and on. Share something specific we should try from Australia!
Good suggestions! Ill have to look into those deer ones.
Damper is a good one its a basic bread made from beer usually cooked in a camp over (cast iron dutch oven with coals from a fire) served with butter and golden syrup

We are generally pretty big on lamb too so roast lamb and veggies (also great in a camp oven)
Or crumbed cutlets

I don't think we invented but the chicken parmi is a pub classic but we ditch the egg plant pubs got over people asking for no egg plant

Cob loaf is good too, basically round crusty loaf of bread with the centre hollowed out and filled with a creamy bacony dip. Usually just made for get togethers and such and everyone just rips abit off at a time

Hey team, Im an Aussie guy but i love making what i think are classic American meals at home. Things like biscuits and sausage gravy, chicken fried steak and cornbread ( i mean no disrespect if they’re not to you). Has anyone got any classic dishes you grew up on that you want share that i can try? I'm sure there are heaps of gems out there iv never heard of. Double points for wild game though i pretty much just have venison, wild pig and some ducks here

One of the dinner classics around our house is fried pork chops, applesauce, and pork n' beans (baked beans with bacon chunks or fried pork-fat bits).

Definitely look into American-style bacon. It's proof that God loves us, and wants us to be happy.

Its hard to find an explanation of what is exactly different about it other than yours is mostly pork belly and our is middle bacon which is basically the whole side of the pig from the loin to the belly. But having trouble finding what makes it different with how its cured
