Looking at these 2 stocks for my next build. I would like any opinions good or bad on either of these.

They both look sweet.

I have two gripes with the Clymr:
1. Fore end is shorter than ideal for shooting with a bipod, like a little longer radius there from butt pad to bipod.
2. It's freaking expensive for the carbon one.

AP stock looks like a nice option!

The Clymr is good. The AP look solid design wise.

As an aside, just talked with AP about a Tikka option.

I’ll weigh in on the Clymr. It weighs about the same as a fiberglass McMillan, 33oz on my scale. The carbon look is an appliqué on the inside of the mold, then they sponge paint the outside. Not saying it’s not carbon, it is, but what you see isn’t the structural cloth as found on a Manners or McMillan. The V block chassis was glued in crooked on the first one, had to send back and got a replacement with the chassis unglued, and some epoxy. Customer service was prompt and good.
The “pillars” included need to be milled down to get the bottom metal at the right height. On this one, the action only makes contact right behind the lug, when you tighten the screw the action is flexed until it makes up. So it’s getting bedded....
The bdl bottom metal inletting is sloppy, and what they’re claiming to be “features” are ways to make production cheaper. Fitting a recoil pad requires work to make it look right. These use a plastic plate that is larger than the shell and requires no fitting.
The ergos are good, and people like the palm swell.

I haven’t had an AP yet.

Yes the Clymr isn’t cheap that’s for sure.

Thanks. Interesting about a Tikka option.

For the money it sounds like a consumer would expect better quality.

I appreciate the responses

My clymr for a rem 700 la came in at 29.9 oz.
Fit was great except for a little inletting needed around the bolt handle. Bedding block was glued in straight. I’m happy with it.
