Group Wants to Ban Lion Hunting in Colorado

Colorado has a ton of lions last year first hike I went on.... come to a nice little meadow and the aspen glen in the middle is covered by lion sign.,.. doesn’t prove much just was wild first hike I go on and bam lion sign

Just wanted to follow-up on this. I spoke with Marty from MDF and he said they’re mindful of this becoming a potential problem in the future and they’re keeping their eye out. He also said banning bobcat trapping and hunting is an issue that keeps coming up along with wolf reintroduction in Colorado.

Why aren't the Colorado chapters of SCI, mule deer foundation, rmef, etc. You know all the orgs that have banquets, why aren't they at any of the meetings. CBA is the only org I ever see or hear at these meetings. I guess they only like taking our money at banquets and not using it to help fight for our rights

You would think the Monetized YouTube Cowboys, i.e. the ones that hunt Colorado, do cooking recipes, and promote online scouting and public land hunting, would be more involved.

Maybe they could make a video for all their subscribers to get involved.

You can't keep an "eye out"

You need to be proactive and unified!

Talking about reintroducing wolves too ya?

You need to vote out the people that are in bed with these organizations.

Protecting predators is more important to a lot of folks. This is no joke!

Washington state is in a world of hurt right now.

The Washington state chapter of BHA has a close alliance with the anti hunting organization Conservation NW. Conservation NW has shut down predator hunting seasons , pushing the uncontrolled wolf reintroduction and and trying to outlaw trapping.

BHA fan boys should see that BHA is not pro hunting

I have a close alliance with my mom, who can’t be described as pro hunting, but we still associate with each other because she did a lot of great things that weren’t related to her stance on hunting.

I guess that makes me “not pro hunting”.

I suppose I should only associate with the people that do everything exactly like me...

You would be surprised how many people never leave their own echo chamber.

PITA and other animal rights activists ban together across the country to initiate these proposals that go against established wildlife management principles. This goes against common sense...and managing an entire eco system...and eliminates hunters as being part of the management practices. These folks act like humans are not a part of the equation- ridiculous.

They count on the fact that hunters just want to hunt.....and are apathetic to anything that doesn't affect them directly. Hey, how does a lion ban affect a midwest whitetail hunter or an east coast guy?

Well believe it or not it does....though it takes awhile. These crazy ideas start in one place.....and then as they slowly gain momentum they are used as a precedent in other places to justify. Flawed logic...but it works.

If you don't think this can happen in your area.... I bet the hunter in British Columbia didn't think they would lose G bear hunting either, they aren't endangered- but they did.

Thanks Beendare. This is awesome. Glad to see someone is doing something about this.

So it’s great that anti hunting activists serve on the BHA state boards.

Does your anti hunting mom serve on the BHA board of directors and work with politicians to shut down hunting seasons?

Nice try to deflect

Amazing

What I’ve learned from this thread:

First they came for my straws and I said nothing.

Then they came for my mom and I said nothing.

....and it was all BHAs fault.
