Gros Ventre River

Looking for information regarding access on the Gros Ventre River East of Jackson, WY. Mainly need to know how far South a person can safely travel on road 30400 pulling a small trailer. Thanks in advance for any response.

I'd email or call the FS and ask them, should be good for a bit though to get to campgrounds etc.

If you are a nonresident of Wyoming keep in mind you cannot hunt the Gros Ventre Wilderness without an outfitter.

If you go to Onyx maps and go to satellite view or hybrid, you can zoom in and clearly see if a road is well used. In this case, the road looks to be in good shape all the way back to where it is closed at Mud Creek.

Thanks for the response! I did zoom into it, just wasn't sure about the trailer. Thought maybe someone had been through there with mule deer going on and all.

I've pulled a gooseneck horse trailer to Big Cow Creek, which is almost to the end of the road.
