"I've really liked their older podcasts which spend most of their time discussing dos and donts, gear comparisons, Archery equipment, elk hunting tips/strategies, conservation etc.... "

How much of that can really be discussed before you hear the same thing over and over? Personally, I listen to it because I like hearing the conversations with their guests, which are typically all related to hunting, specifically bowhunting, in some way.

Keep it up guys, great podcast and they sure are welcomed on long drives!

It's a great podcast but there are a few episodes I didn't care for, typically the ones where they are interviewing people at the sports shows. Just seemed too loose and they weren't really staying on topic so I skip those now. Not a big deal though - between Joe Rogan, meateater, Adam Carolla, Jay Scott, Cam Hanes....there are more hours of podcasts available than I have time for.

I like that it is censored, just because I can keep it on in the car with my kids in there. That's not possible with a lot of podcasts....

I wish they would make videos of their hunts. Maybe the bear hunting video will be the start of something!!!

I agree. I really like the podcast and when they are talking about something I don't find interesting or funny I just don't listen.

Keep up the great podcast.

Agree with this 100%. As far as being censored, I think we know what Aron is saying;). Some words just slip out!

i was a little dissapointed with the video of arons bc bear hunt. I thought it would of had better filming from all the talk about expensive camera gear etc, rather than a go pro on a selfie stick.

A few years ago I would have said uncensored was preferred, but now that my 3 year old daughter goes everywhere with me I like it being censored. Sure she will learn bad language at some point, but I don't want it to be today.

Agreed. My 14 yr old and 11 yr old sons listen to every podcast and look up to these guys. I appreciate the extra effort to bleep out the expletives.

I appreciate all of the support and so does Brian. He is moving out here next week and we will be videoing all of our hunt this season. Brian is definitely listening to the feedback and going to modify things a bit from here on out. Again, we appreciate everyone listening and look forward to meeting all of you at some point!

I am pretty darn sure that hunting season needs to show up right meow!!!! Nothing like griping about a free podcast that wasn't even around two years ago....I have also not listened as much the past few episodes, but freak'n LOVED the last one with all the Hushing (sp) guys. I am not a big fan of their stuff in a lot of ways, but it is really cool to think that there is actually a way for us to get paid by sharing. You don't need super expensive gear or the crazy cool sheet to build an actual virtual business. Pretty damn awesome.

I dropped my phone down manhole at work because I was listening to GB. Luckily, it wasn't in service yet... I don't think I've missed a single episode, though there were a few that I didn't finish (mostly echoing previous comments). I particularly enjoyed the ones following last elk season and I'm really looking forward to what comes out this fall. I've turned on a number of people to the gritty life since discovery the podcast. I've tried listening to several others but have yet to find anything that I could listen to.

Can someone explain what a pod cast is? I watch the GB videos on Youtube. Is there a way to download it to your phone and listen while your driving?

Yes. There is a "Podcasts" app on iPhone and iOS where you can download these, and there are similar apps for android. Obviously you miss out on the video component, but great for when you're on the go. I rarely listen / watch in front of a computer - it's almost always in the car for me.

Keep up the good work guys! I have done radio before and hot topics are sometimes hard to come by. Anyone who doesnt understand that needs to try to do a podcast/radio show themselves...and as others have said - its free, if you dont like it, turn the channel and tune back in next week.

I hope no one is taking any of this as "griping". I'm willing to bet everyone who's posted, myself included, puts gritty on the top of the podcast list....or very close to it.... honest and thoughtful feedback is good...good for the gritty clan and good for the listeners. This thread has made it pretty obvious to me that there is more people out there than I thought that have an appreciation for the "talk show" aspect just as much as my appreciation for the more technical and informative versions. That's not saying anything negative or critisizing anyone...just observations that I wanted to voice to get a feel if anyone else was in the same line of thinking.

I also agree the Gritty Bowman is the most entertaining podcast to listen to. I have listened to all of them and don't believe there was one that I didn't finish. Can really tell Brian and the podcasts have came a long way since his first, as he points out as well. I think Brian now seems like a natural, and if I didn't know, I would think he's been doing this for years.

Aron is a great co host because of his knowledge and says whatever comes to mind. Watching some of the podcasts is almost a must for what they show and are trying to teach, navigational skills, to some of us.

Favorite podcast and keep them coming!

I've quit listening to all other podcast while I listen to all the GB ones. I really like them all, I've learned something from everyone. I really hope that during season they recap hunts and such. I would also like to hear the fine details of hunts. The parts that go good and bad. And more detail about the trip and camping parts.

I like watching them on YouTube. It's funny when Aron says a slang term(like 'shmag') and you see on Brian's face that he's lost(he wasn't alone on that one, lol). Then he stops Aron, 'hey, what's a shmag?' Aron "chasing squirrels " is funny also. I don't know that I would enjoy listening to it as much as I do watching their facial expressions and mannerisms.

For Android phones, Podbean works well for me as a podcast app; I download the informational GB TV podcasts [i.e. LandNav 'the gift that keeps on giving'] for reference
