Every year I gain back the 20ish pounds I lost for hunting season…. Just zero discipline over the holidays. Hit a new high…. Gained 30lbs…. Got pissed at myself and decided to do something about it. Decided to buy a custom nutrition and fitness program tailored to me. Ended up going with the Backbone Unlimited plans.

Has anyone else done Backbone Unlimited’s fitness and/or nutrition plan? I have been doing both for 5 weeks now. All I can say is “WOW!”, and “ouch”. Fat has been falling off my gut faster than I could have imagined! 20.0 lbs down in exactly 5 weeks! Ouch because I haven’t been this sore for more than 20 years (but a good sore).

Has anyone else done BU’s programs? If yes, which ones and how is it working out for you? What do you like or feel could be better?

Following as I have thought about doing this program.

Nice work on getting after it and losing the pounds!
Thanks. For nutrition, it’s easy to follow if you do bulk meal prep for 3-4 days at a time. My deer meat is going fast! But so is my gut.

I bought the “intermediate” difficulty for “minimal gear” fitness routine. Oh boy I know I’m out of shape but I should have gone with the beginner routine. But I’ve been sticking with it, week 1 I only did 1/8th the routine. Week 2 1/4. Week 3 was 3/8th…. Basically adding 1/8th of what he calls for every week. By week 8 I should be at the full program. Then I can add more reps and/or weight for the exercises. The purpose of easing into it was not to get any injuries. 20 years ago this wouldn’t have been a problem…

Give it a try. It’s very affordable so you’re risking very little imo.

Yeah I did. Both the nutrition plan and the workout plan for $40. 100% worth it. 👍

Down 22.2 lbs in the last 5-1/2 weeks. Definitely stronger as well. I recommend you try it out. Follow it exactly. If you’re not a believer after one month, cancel.

congrats on the progress that’s amazing! How long after purchase did it take you to get your workout plan?

Just bought the fitness plan hoping to lose the 30 extra pounds I’ve accumulated over the last couple years
From my humble prospective, I think the power of getting stronger comes from the fitness plan, losing the weight at the same time comes from the nutrition plan. Doing them together is the best thing I have done for myself and family in 15+ years. 🙏

I believe it was a full week. The owner is a one man show with more than a few irons in the fire.

Which plan did you get?

An average of 4ibs per week is pretty aggressive and unless you're significantly overweight not sustainable long-term, without feeling like shit anyways. Google "crash diet". You might rapidly be losing weight but I'd be careful that you're not severly dehydrating yourself, or losing too much muscle mass.

Either way, keep up the hard work and consistency! I've personally found more success for me and my goals by slowly gaining and losing weight but do whatever works best for you!

I did the beginner full gym plan to start, might add on the nutrition portion if all goes well
Honestly I think the beginner plan is the way to go. I should have done the same. Another couple of weeks and I should be able to do a full “intermediate” routine.

Yeah I agree. I lost 11 lbs the first week. I must have been really full of it 🤣

Now 2.2 lbs list on average every week after.

I’m 6’3” and big boneded as they say. The plan is 1850-1900 Cal per day. The math puts me at 600 Cal deficit a day, after factoring in the exercise routine he has me on.

That’s 1.2 lbs a week. Not sure why it’s coming off so quickly?… but I’ll take the 2.2.

I have no complaints so far. I feel great, stronger, and losing the gut.
