I've had tinnitus for decades. Mine is a constant buzz almost like a cicada but low pitched. For the past couple of weeks I have a new sound on top of the buzz - a bird chirp in my right ear. I'm trying to get into a doctor as I'm due for an exam anyway but just curious if anyone else is dealing with multiple sounds like this? If so, were you able to do figure out what caused the second sound to pop up?

Sorry to hear it. Fellow afflicted here, but no chirping.

Had the birds for years now, ringing too. I don't think there is a fix.

LOL. I will admit that at first I thought it was a "real sound" coming from outside my head - not a smoke alarm but a bird chirping outside the house.
I had tenitus briefly for about 2 months. It was a dull constant ringing. Then there was a faint echo was added. We would be sitting around table eating dinner and it sounded like people were talking behind me and to the left. It was the echos of the current conversation with a slight delay.

Then one day I woke up and it was all gone. Now I take hearing protection at work much more serious.

47 years of being around aircraft, heavy equipment, and fab&weld shops is where mine came from. Not much hearing protection in the 70's and 80's. The only way I don't hear it is when I am around load stuff.
