I still really prefer GE over the many different hunting apps I have for desktop eScouting. I used to always use those TopRut unit maps to get the USFS Roads and Trails as well as public land layers. Those appear to be gone…they just link you to OnX.

I tried finding the USFS MVUM KMZ directly on their site but the links are all dead that come up in a Google search. I don’t have any source for a layer that shows public land.

Who can help a bro out?

Colorado.

I did finally find a MVUM file. It’s like 400mb so will be curious to see how it runs. In the past, GE didn’t like having a lot of large files/layers.

download the georeferenced mvum from each forest, convert to kmz with mapc2mapc, load into GE Pro
a cpl support files are needed for mapc to convert geopdf's but mapc really opens up e-scouting in GE Pro
you could also spend a few $$ and get Treeline Academy google earth package
