GoHunt insider+ / Huntin Fool

Just curious, has anyone dealt with or considered using either one of these application services and if so was it worth it ? With states changing everything it seems year to year on there systems it tends to get confusing. Just wanted to see output from anyone else.

I’ve not found the juice to be worth the squeeze with any of these subscriptions, if you’re on their mailing lists you’ll get all the info you need for application deadlines and how the systems work. Everything else is pretty generic info that can usually be found on state wildlife department websites IMO

I've used several of the services (Epic, Rolling Bones) for my applications. I agree, they are all similar, but you have to have excellent communication as we messed up one of my apps in a state you can't modify. Luckily I didn't draw, but it was a tough situation.

I really like the Huntin Fool emagazine that I get with my OnX Elite membership. They do a nice job with their application articles and I find myself reading them each year. I have some friends who also use their previous tag holder list and that can be invaluable.

GoHunt is also really good at keeping changes up to date and doing research. Never used GoHunt+

It really is up to your personality and how much you like researching units and the draw systems. If you have the time, then DIY is the way to go. If you have no time, a history of missing app deadlines or point deadlines, or struggle to make a decision on which unit or state then it's worth the cost.
