Best friend is getting married this summer and I got him the wood finish Benelli SBE3. I’d like to find a tasteful, small way to make it a 1 of 1. I’ve kicked around engraving, maybe sticking a note or something inside the butt pad, etc or even an accessory. Haven’t found any good examples of this looking around.

I’d like ideas you all have on this. Thank you.

I bought my (prior) best friend matching black powder revolvers.

It was THE best gift at the wedding.

They really appreciated it and it didn't break the bank too bad.

Gun engraving is usually SLOW. And way $$$. You are likely too late unless you have strings to pull. If you can remove the trigger guard you could probably give it/bring it to a non-gun engraver (jeweler) with a machine and have a monogram cut into it either while you wait or pretty quickly. Or even a laser-etching. I dont know the guard on a benelli but its likely aluminum or plastic so it would engrave easily.

I’d probably go the route of custom charging handle, engraved oversized bolt release, or a nice sling/soft case for the gun. Can tastefully customize all of those. (I’ve seen a charging handle that looked like a duck band but was customized with wedding date etc) Alternatively depending on how much you were willing to spend you could contact a gunsmith like Rob Robert’s and see what he could come up with, with some custom cerakote

Thanks for all the input, great ideas. I am probably going to go with bolt or trigger guard engraving and it'll be friendship-related and not to the wedding. He's going to love it.

I also like the case and knife ideas, going to keep an eye out for some old Filson (USA) or Duluth tin cloth and leather cases when they go on sale.

I looked at Grumpy Duck Co and a few others for oversize bolt handles, pretty cool (especially the bands) but no true customization and I don't like the extra bulk to get stuck on stuff. Thanks again...
