Goat Knives ghosting me?

I ordered a Capra Hunter Ti from Goat website on August 15, which is 21 days ago. No response to two emails I've sent, and no shipping notification. If I haven't heard anything by Monday I'm reporting a fraudulent transaction to my cc co. Can't think of a valid excuse for taking payment and then ghosting customers for 3 weeks.
Now that you are a full month since you ordered, do you have an update for us? Give is some feed back. Do you need someone to contact his social media profiles on your behalf since you don't do any social media?

Damn, you guys get your panties twisted quickly! The way I see it is the OP is venting and letting people know what’s up.

I have a couple of their knives and have messaged them plenty of times with no response in 8+ weeks.

Decent knives, shitty customer service!

OP- cancel your order and go buy something different!

Quite a statement on a new normal when a company fails to respond to customer inquiries and the customer gets flak...


For the record - I just submitted a simple inquiry to a publishing company - I was asked to give 20 weeks, that's two-zero weeks for a response - this was not a manuscript submission. Another publisher in the UK took 13 months to get back to me...then, after I responded has not gotten back to me in over 8 months...

I am 100% certain response times were better when life was analog...

Now that you are a full month since you ordered, do you have an update for us? Give is some feed back. Do you need someone to contact his social media profiles on your behalf since you don't do any social media?

Hello Jay, I never heard anything and disputed the charge. No, definitely do not contact anyone on my behalf, many thanks, just replaced my broken havalon and moved on.

Saw a post on fb today of guys complaining about this issue, the original poster on fb has Instagram screenshots of Travis giving out Erik van woerkoms personal number because he won’t even reply to Travis. Erik was supposed to be in charge of production according to Travis. More muley freak bs.

Sounds like a great reason not to do business with them. I can’t think of a reason to give MF and his associates/partners money to exploit hunting

This thread just got brought my attention. If anyone has placed an order and didn’t recieve your product please reach out to me directly and I’ll get it squared away immediately. My job is design and production as one of 2 owners. My partner is in charge of the orders and customer service so I don’t get to see what’s going on with that end of the business. Sorry for any issues this may have caused. We have absolutely zero intention of trying to take any customers hard earned money and not giving them the product they deserve. Please reach out if you have any issues.

To be fair, it seemed like this was a one man operation, and I didn't read into it too much, more benefit of the doubt. Think I kept my notions to myself tho.

Not related to Goat knives, but I've been doing e-commerce for a long time and can't really recall any issues in the past, but currently Dark Timber Coffee is ghosting me, ordered 9/11 and can't get tracking, have called and spoke to someone who said they'd email me tracking and also sent another email and call/VM and nothing. And then my kids' soccer uniforms, ordered 6/19 and Capelli won't respond to my requests for update now. Going to call my credit card company today and sort both out.

I guess what I'm saying is I think we are in a new era of shit customer service. Opportunity for companies that want to do it right.

Covid man. Too many companies and people made too much money and didnt have to do a damn thing for it.

How the hell does this dude keep weaseling his way into partnerships? He's got multiple poaching convictions (documented, not hearsay) and yet folks in the outdoor industry think its a good idea to associate with him?

Sadly I no long consider Black Ovis an option to shop from due to their continued association with his brand. Nightforce for some bizaree reason associates with him (who the hell pitched that idea?). Apparently he's associated with Goat knives too (and isn't fulfilling orders?).

Does he have blackmail on the outdoor industry or something?

Go to the thread about Nightforce and look at how many people posted basically saying "who cares?" Companies cant lose when people will buy from them regardless.

I mean two very prominent people on this forum that have a podcast, on said podcast, likened that thread to cancel culture.
