Pretty simple but what is expected of a packer? They come get my meat while I'm there but do they bring a horse to get my fatass out as well? If not, do they wait on me to come out or where do they drop the meat off?

So when a packer gives me a quote on price does that include packing me out or is that just the meat?

The main question is whether Danica will be bad luck like Olivia was.

The expectation of a Packer is to take a pay cut so they can afford Rawdgers.

In all seriousness you will need to ask your specific packer. I've been quoted different services by different outfitters.

Every packer will be different. Some have flat rates, some charge by the trail mile, some more for different animals. It will almost certainly cost more to have them bring you a horse.

If i had 10 days to take off I wouldnt care about packing it out. I only have 4 days so using a packer gives me more hunting time that i can still kill something and get it out before I have to go to work.

Also, I already called the guy and got a flat rate but had some followup questions but he didnt answer. Now Im asking here.

I think your question has pretty much been answered all the additional details will need to be addressed with the guy doing the actual packing when you come to an agreement.

Sorry bud, I gave you the only answer there was to give. Call the outfitter because we can't answer your questions without the packer's phone number.

So you expect the guys on an internet forum to know what the packer you called is offering for his quote?

So you expect the guys on an internet forum to know what the packer you called is offering for his quote?

I asked for the standards, definition below:

"an idea or thing used as a measure, norm, or model in comparative evaluations."

I brought up the packer I contacted because somehow I began to feel the need due to the responses to justify why I asked the question in the first place.

90% of the questions on this forum could be answered by calling a manufacturer, Parks & Wildlife, or a biologist if you want to go that route.

Now that I look like an asshole, responding in type to several people who had smartass replies, Ill try this again.

Ill reword the questions like I'm at work so its very clear:

1. In your experience, has your packer provided or offered a service to pack you out as well?
2. In your experience, has this normally been included in the base price?
3. In your experience, where did your packer drop off meat?
4. In your experience, did you walk the packer out with your meat or did they drop it off in an arranged place?
