My Magneto Speed was a big improvement over my Pro Chrono, but I'm tired of swapping it out between barrels. Although now I just leave it attached to the suppressor when I screw the suppressor onto a different rifles. I went shooting this weekend when it was 30ish outside and I couldn't get any readings off of my Magneto, even after replacing the battery. I'm seriously considering giving the Garmin a try.

Yes it is, I love mine and it hasn’t missed a shot yet. Don’t think you would be disappointed with purchasing one. Zero issues in cold weather as well

Garmin=amazing.

Looks like a few companies are releasing similar, cheaper products this year and last…..IMO it doesn’t matter. Garmin is so good I’d rather pay the extra $200 and know that I am getting an awesome product.

Garmin changed the chrono game with that release IMO.

I’d hate to add another chrono before getting a Garmin. A lot of guys went Caldwell to Magnetospeed to Labradar to Garmin.

I’m in the same boat with my magneto speed. Reading these posts just confirms- it’s time to upgrade to the Garmin.

I went from Magneto to Labradar to Garmin.

Garmin is quick and easy to set-up. No issues from 275 fps arrows, or 17 HMR up to 300 Win Mag for me. Great tool that I look forward to using.

I originally bought mines on Amazon with the intention of using it to get my avg fps for my Leupold custom turret and then returning it but decided to keep it instead.

There are some newer chrono's that claim to be better than the Garmin, but I do not really want the extra features they claim are important.

The Garmin is easily the best accessory I have bought for reloading and shooting.
