a good heavy duty tarp/some line makes pulling easier or you can construct a simple travois.

We used one like that and it worked great. Where we were you either had to carry it on your back or in this manner. We were in area that was all rocks and you couldnt get a bike or a cart in there to help you. This could also work well in a muddy area.
