Just ordered a few more of the Allen backcountry 30x20" synthetic bags. They worked great for my buddy's elk last year, they are light and breathe well. Best of all, they are super affordable. I see no reason to switch.

Ive used the same for years. same - no reason to switch.

Are some of the more expensive ones worth it or just the throw away kind.

I just ordered another 8 Allen 20x30 bags, 2 four packs, off Amazon for $20 to take care of our antelope this fall which brings my total up to 12 of the 20x30 and 4 of the 28x50.

The 28x50 bags are now around $48 so not as good of a deal that they used to be but still for $70 a guy can get a package of each size and have 8 bags to mix and match. I carry the 4 bigger bags and 2 of the smaller bags as loose meat bags when elk hunting.

There's nothing wrong with the Allen bags except they are not trendy and over hyped by the hunting crowed, probably because there actually a reasonable price and of course anything reasonable just can't be good.
