Barney and the public schools.
LOL ....

If you drive a car into a ditch, are you going to blame Henry Ford??
Not the same thing, did this much-whined-about generation create and instruct themselves to watch Barney? Did they operate the public schools and make the choice themselves to attend?

Boomers love to whine. They cry more than any generation has before or since. The main focus of their whining is Millennials and politics, but Boomers raised the Millennials, and Boomers have operated the political stage for the last 30+ years. So if what they're crying about is so bad, then they should take responsibility, because no one else had a hand in it more than they did.

Thinking critically does not mean you have to change what you do given new information. It means that you can see the merits the other side. Think the .223 thread. I read most of it and still shoot a 7mag but I can see that a .223 can be effective at killing things. Doesnt mean that I have to sell the 7 and go to a .223.

Accepting new things doesnt mean that you have to adopt them yourself. If you like your BAR, have at it but you can also accept that ARs are just a modern version of that. Doesnt mean you have to sell your BAR to buy an AR.

A kid I worked with was all in to the tactical side of shooting. He had ARs with all matching colors, plate carriers, special holsters for everything, etc. Not my cup of tea, and not what I would spend my money on but it makes him happy and what he wants so its cool. Doesnt mean I have to join him.

Generally, one must be a critical thinker to accept new things and those that accept new things are generally critical thinkers.
I don't disagree. I guess I was trying to be a little sarcastic about new things always being a positive.

And I for sure agree that lots of new things are a positive.

You're a Fudd if you constantly say "What do you need that for?" "That should be illegal". Like with trail cameras for instance.
Just so I understand this comment better, do you mean trail cams with or without a feature that sends real-time imagery straight to your phone?

LOL ... A simple question was asked and answered: "Who raised them?"

It seems like a different generation from The Boomers is doing the whining here.

I was looking at a facebook hunting group last week and some guy asked if a 6.5 creedmoor could be used for sheep. Some dork/fudd chimed in saying the only thing you should do with a creemoor is "melt down the metal, piss on it, then throw it in a sewer. then use the stock for firewood". He said the 6.5 creedmoor is the most useless "gun" ever invented.

He flipped out and rage quit when people asked him: why not just re-barrel the gun if you dont like 6.5, then they pointed out that 6.5 is a cartridge/bullet, not a "gun".

I got a kick out of that.

Today's Fudds used to complain about their parents that never adopted magnum cartridges, variable magnification scopes, and 4x4 trucks. Eventually we'll get dismissed for not adopting whatever wazoo technology comes out down the road because we don't need it to hunt the way we've been doing it for decades. The difference between an old guy and a Fudd is that the Fudd fights the new stuff while the old guy keeps quietly killing stuff.
