I guess I misunderstood- still trying to figure out how this site works- as for my brother n law- he may hunt caribou if the opportunity presents but not sheep or griz- likely just me
It will be awesome to have him along for the adventure, the Tyrrells and the whole crew are great. Coolest place on earth.

well.....

I've sent in a check to the outfitter for half the hunt (less the deposit made two years ago)
I've made my airline reservations (to Fairbanks & return)
I've made my hotel reservations for my first days there, still need to book a room for my last day there
I've talked to the taxidermist (who is also the expeditor that the outfitter uses), happens to be in the same town which makes it handy
Outfitter will soon be sending info on securing licenses and the charter flight from Fairbanks to the lodge
I've been hiking our single tracks daily and strength training twice a week
Gear list is getting honed

just 190 days to go :D
Same boat here. I am hunting with Cabot Pitts in the Wrangell’s. I have settled up for 75% of hunt cost at this point, and recently booked my commercial flights from Dallas to Fairbanks and back. I also got my flight from Fairbanks to Tok locked in this past Friday. Also have a hotel in Fairbanks the first night, and a hotel in Tok the nights before and after hunting.

Since my top-notch taxidermist in Texas retired (Jerry huffaker) last year, in still trying to decide between sending my trophy to Dewey or Monarch if I am successful.

At this point my gear is dialed in, and I just need to keep getting in better shape, practicing my shooting and trying to stay injury free. I am sitting at 188 lbs and doing a mix of body weight and heavy pack training, along with peloton rides. Trying to get between 175-177 without dropping any major muscle mass between now and July, and then just hold that steady until i am hunting September 1-10!

that's a full month after my Brooks hunt, how's the weather typically in the Wrangall's that time of year?
My guide said average is lows in the 30's, highs in the 50's. This part of the season he expects less moisture, but I am sure this year will be the exception to the rule......

^ good deal- that doesn't sound too bad; the Brooks can get sketchy in August, guess even more so in September- glad I'm going in August :D

I am up with Jim Lancaster Nahanni Butte Outfitters. Aug 20th-30. Dall and caribou. I am pumped and already packing and repacking bag.
Done a dall with bonnet plume in 2016. Amazing adventure.

I'm in it :D Dall sheep in the Brooks in August 23, booked 2/21- yeah I'm just a little jacked :ROFLMAO:

30 years applying here (Montana) for Bighorn, maybe I'll draw this year to make it really interesting!

Anyone else?
Just don't kill your guide by walking him to death Warden!🤣

Excited to hear/read about your experience. Congratulations!
