So we can see that a couple outdoor publications are reporting this. How do we get the big hunting orgs to publish this story? Would mean a lot and show MF's followers this is serious if the meateaters/gohunts of the world would report on this.

Who exactly is the “big org” these days? Seems like forums like these and social media is where everyone gets their news and information nowadays.

It will be interesting to see how this shakes out. I would like to think the officer would have consulted land owner prior to issuing a citation/charge and if there was a mistake the charges would have been dropped. Let justice prevail. It is however very distasteful to belittle the game officer by #fishcop. He needs to realize the impact he may have on younger generations of hunters. Disrespecting the ones who are tasked with protecting our wildlife sets a bad precedence.

Just another example of his character.

That's a good point. Why use the # 1BadFishCop? Officer was doing his job. Game Warden doesn't decide if you're trespassing. It's up to the landowner to press the charges. Why call out the officer for doing his job and filing charges at the landowner's request? Unless of course I'm wrong and officers can file trespassing charges even if the landowner says they don't want to pursue those charges. But if that was the case here, I can't imagine the courts wanting to waste time on it.

Don't worry he started his first video off with something like "first off we respect COs..." etc etc.

So it is ok. Swore I heard N.W.A rapping in the background though. Also, I have now been blocked apparently my comments were not welcomed on their Insta page...hahaha

Still , after watching the second video , if he had permission to hunt one spot and crossed to a spot he did not have permission , he is still guilty . IMO
All that video shows is he had permission to hunt A spot , maybe not the spot he shot the Elk on ?

Like I said, Meateater.

I have friends who don’t even hunt that somehow have Meateater in all their feeds and get emailed articles. They have the biggest outreach bar none IMO. Imagine if they ran articles on influencers once they’ve been convicted/found guilty. It might change the way the Bowmars and freaks of the world conduct themselves.

Meateater does publish articles on your average poacher. Why they don’t about influencers is interesting…

Meateater is basically a big conglomerate of influencers. I dont think an influencer battle would bring good light to anything. Sounds like something you would read in the tabloids. Maybe report on it after trial is finished.

Darn, I was planning to access some areas via railroad tracks that are no longer in use. I would be surprised if anyone was enforcing it, but good to know.
I mean look up the current ownership.
If its just track bed a day no longer has rail and ties it may not be owned by the railroad anymore.

But the RR has to be the number one most sued company's in America.
So they pretty much just default to no on everything.

I like my old understanding of railroad tracks based on the movie “Stand By Me” more than my new understanding based on reality.

So, tomorrow's the day. I hope he tries to go into court and use some bogus recordings for evidence. They can tear those things apart and then they can add perjury. At a preliminary hearing all the prosecution has to show is that there is evidence enough for the judge to hold a trial not guilt or innocence. If Freak is going to use any recordings as evidence, he will have to hand them over to the prosecution as discovery and they can be analyzed. Will be time to fish or cut bait. They will most likely offer him a deal before the preliminary hearing. If he turns that down, the deal goes away and offers usually get worse for the defendant. If it goes to trial, all deals are off. Good chance the defense will ask for a delay so they can drag it out trying to wear down victim's and the witnesses for the prosecution.

The videos are suspect for sure. And let's all recall another high profile poacher that was on podcasts, etc., proclaiming innocence and even filed a lawsuit against the involved law enforcement agency. We all know how that went. You also have to wonder if this guy even has an atty and or does said atty know his client is all over social media with various videos. Every atty will tell their criminally charged client to stfu.
