Found spot g3

I found a spot g3 while scouting I’m trying to get it back to its owner. While I could use it that’s not my style(to steal it). I would like to get it back to its owner. I watched the video on how to use it. I believe I sent the generic message to the recipients and turned on the tracking. I’ve charged it and put it in my camp hoping somebody would get it. I’m going home 3 hrs away on Sunday. Should I take it home or charge it again and just leave it? If I can’t get it back to its owner can I reactivate it and ise it for myself? Like I said if I can’t.... be fore somebody calls me a thief.

Take it with you.
When home, take a couple minutes, call SPOT tell them what the deal is and they can get you hooked up with the owner- or they can contact the owner.

Is spot owned by Garmin? I went to spots website and sent them a email telling them the situation. But it’s been 2 days and I haven’t heard anything back.

Garmin has had a breach apparently. My watch hasn't synced up all week. I just get a message that they are restoring the servers. Calling spot mag be the way to go
