I would have liked to see a little more design work go into it. Pretty cool how waterproof it is but I can't shake that it looks like one of those rectangular cheap plastic suitcases you see at the airport.
I think it would have resonated way more to a fishing crowd, seems more so that style to me.
Always dig the USA sourced and built premise, I buy origin jeans and kifaru packs, but still hard to justify $600 for a day pack. Just seems like it's trying to do too much. Could cut out some features, downgrade it to just water resistant and add some shape and style and I'd buy it for $350. Would also like to see solids, forloh camo pattern isn't bad but I don't always want to take a camo shiny backpack to work and on trips.

Thank for the feedback and solid colors are always a discussion, we just always have such better success with our camo prints to start. This bag is stiff at first, but breaks in like a nice pair of work boots. Thanks for supporting American made products.

This might be a decent pack for a kid heading off to college. It's definitely not a hunting pack. Was the meat shelf next to the pencil pocket?

But accessories will be available in a few years 🤣
We do have some accessories available now.

On top of the $600 basic big boy school pack, these accessories are going to add up quick. I can see 800-900 bucks, all said and done, and it still won't haul meat

There might be a niche market for this pack somewhere, but it's not going to be with hunters. For that, you're going to need a lot more R&D, and a complete redesign.

I had to check my calendar, I thought this was an April Fools joke, but nope, it's July 13th.

Let’s not forget that not everyone backpack hunts in the sense of overnighting out of their pack or needs to haul meat in their packs. There’s a lot of guys out there in the hunting world with big pockets, and who want an American made product. They might just be hauling around a couple items in their packs on their day hunts.

Gucci and Louis Vuitton are doing alright in their respective fields, and their pricing makes Forloh seem like an absolute bargain. This product isn’t for me, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they do alright with it.

I've been lurking around rokslide for awhile. I recall Arron Snyder testing out a badlands ox frame with like 100 pounds of weight well over a decade ago. I'm sure his experience drove him to prototype the first kifaru packs. Same goes for Kurt and Steve. Those guys were respected for their input far before they produced their first product.

There is alot of brands that will never kick off on this site like Akek, Canis, and now Forloh because everyone comes and posts a picture of their product or totes how it is revolutionary and better than the rest without any real world validation from non paid sponsors.

Sitka gear and Kuiu built their reputation far before they became the two biggest suppliers in the industry. You obviously want our money and to take a piece of the market share. I'm willing to try a new brand. Take initial ascent. I think they make one of the best packs out there and are a few tweaks away from being top tier. they have been putting their bags out to be tested for free and get rokslide feedback.

Maybe the marketing/engineering department for Forloh is inexperienced in the genre of hunters your trying to sell to, but your only hurting your reputation even posting this product on this forum. I can't for the life of me think of one person who would buy that product at that price point with grossly wrong features. Even the most novice backpack/western hunter could tell those packs are engineered and designed poorly. and its not to ay the price tag being out of guys budgets is the reason for dismal. Everyone on this forum wants the best product money can buy and we can all tell this simply isn't it. There is a reason why sitka and kuiu are outselling yall. Just because its made it American doesn't mean it can be poorly designed but sewn together well. When stone glacier launches a product alot of times they can't keep up with demand because they are a well trusted group of guys with proven designs. Also as a side note I don't know if you have paid much attention to the US labor force these days but half of them can't even make a double cheese burger correctly so saying it American made is not what it once was in 1974.

I say all this to not bash yall, its just more embarrassing to even see you post this product and be proud of it. I urge you to make a prototype pack and put them on the backs of a few well respected backcountry hunters and then refine the product form there.

What a boilerplate response. The specific questions ARE being asked. You are charging $600 for a daypack that's barely functional in THAT role. I can get a SG Sky 5900 for only ~$70 more. A fully functional, do anything I need it to do backpack. Perhaps you should sit down with your CPO and talk about this "leading the way in technolog..." Often times when you can't see anyone in the rearview mirror, it ain't cuz you're way out in front.
