Yeah it’s crossed my mind, they already went that route with camp sites. I think the difference here though is a lot of their property is intermingled with IDL and USFS. The places I’ve seen it pay to play on the Westside is not intermingled.

Does anyone know of a set of lightweight packable stop sticks? Hear one coming in the dark as you hike in… cut your headlamp and jump off trail… deploy stop sticks and let them ride by…

Kind of a similar situation. Back home it used to be any ranch you asked would let you goose hunt, before my time. Then people got to breaking rules like don't leave gates open when stock is in the pasture, don't climb or shoot the fences and by God don't shoot the livestock. Most every ranch got to where they restricted access, either to family, paid hunting, or no access at all.

The public ruins everything.
