Yeah it’s crossed my mind, they already went that route with camp sites. I think the difference here though is a lot of their property is intermingled with IDL and USFS. The places I’ve seen it pay to play on the Westside is not intermingled.

Kind of a similar situation. Back home it used to be any ranch you asked would let you goose hunt, before my time. Then people got to breaking rules like don't leave gates open when stock is in the pasture, don't climb or shoot the fences and by God don't shoot the livestock. Most every ranch got to where they restricted access, either to family, paid hunting, or no access at all.

The public ruins everything.

Illegal, entitled, destructive ohv activity by morons is ruining hunting in the west.

I don't condone illegal activities. Just stating the fact that batteries come off of ebikes and spark plugs pull out of gas engines and they are probably hard to find if they get thrown down the mountain.

Same thing around Flagstaff with BLM land. Offroaders/vandals/idiots have been littering up and damaging some of the BLM land to the point that they have banned public use for campers. This is particularly irksome to some of us AZ valley dwellers because that is where a lot of us go to camp in the summer to escape the heat.

This has happened in PA recently. I had 400 acres owned by a corporation behind my camp.
They recently closed all access because of people taking sxs and dirt bikes on it. It was walk in only. It pisses me off because I enjoyed hunting on it and always walked in.
The worst part is that I will not trespass, but I still hear the sxs and dirt bikes trespassing.
