I know your Kifaru guys but you should check out the Mystery Ranch booth if they are there and show us their new NICE Metcalf pack.
No problem as long as I have time. If you look on the backpacking forum, we did a video on Eberlestock packs!

Robby , Vortex is made in China unless they opened a factory in the USA and didn't tell anyone.

Actually your kind of also wrong, the viper and razor line are made in Japan. The lower end vortex items are only made in China.

I thought the Viper and Razor lines were made in Taiwan not Japan? Either way they are at least American OWNED, but not made...

Lower end Vortex are Chinese produced, razor and viper bins are Japanese. Viper riflescopes are made in the Phillippines.

I don't come from a backpacking angle, so I missed all the hype on the backpacking thread when Kifaru recently released the Bikini Duplex and 7000 CI bag. I'd never met Patrick (really really nice guy and very interesting, knowledgeable guy) so I stopped by the booth and shot some video. Sorry I didn't get better shots of the pack, I was too focused on the bag/frame and not the camera. Aron has way better video on the backpacking forum if you want to see more.

Finally got to meet someone from the Rokslide prostaff whom I've admired for a long time, Jared Bloomgren. He was working the Kryptek booth and got to chat with him for a while.

He's a great hunter as most of us already know but is also a down-to-earth good guy to be around. I think we're only going to see more of him around.

For those who don't know, he took an awesome 400" bull in Montana, DIY, in 2012. Jared also runs an active blog with PSE. Visit it and you can also see just how BIG his Montana bull really is! http://blog.pse-archery.com/

God bless you Jared!

Ridgerunner,
I didn't get to delve into their gear much but fired Jared an email so we should get an answer.

Mike, we got by Manner's. Great stocks at 24-26 ounces and any Tikka owner should really look at their new stock for 2013.

I'll chime in on wanting to see the new MR pack. From the pic on their facebook page, it looks like it might have functional load lifters. At least for the height of the guy in the picture.
