Flashback Friday hunting photo from 20 yrs ago🤙

I'm going back a little further ... to 1978. I tracked this Montana bull for 5 hours and got a snap shot in the late afternoon at 150 yards or so. Probably one of my best shots. The mountain was so steep I had to tie him down to keep him there. He was 9 1/2 miles from the road and it took us 2 days to get him out.

Also, here's a photo of my buck. One of the few times I was able to fill both tags on my combo license.

Awww... the good old day's when you could kill deer & elk in jeans, a button up shirt, and a random stocking cap. They aren't falling for that one anymore!

My first ram, 1987 DIY stone in northern BC and my second big game animal. A lot of boot miles put on since then!

These are some cool pictures. Takes a guy back in time. Makes a guy miss the days when registration stations were hanging up Polaroids of people with their bucks on the wall.

North Idaho chased this bull and a 370plus for 20 plus days and one finally made a mistake 🤙 the hoochie mama came out and was unreal, then everyone had one one and I trashed it🤣 if you are old enough post one up from 2002🤩
That’s awesome!!! I believe I killed my first elk in 02, late season archery cow roosie, but only have actual photos, nothing digital… haha, I miss those days, I only knew/knew of a handful of people that archery hunted around here, access was nearly endless and if you saw another archery hunter, it was abnormal… a lot has changed in the world in a short 20 years

This is a great thread. Funny thing-all the hunting clothing in these pics is en vogue today-fashions circling back I guess :) You guys would be runway models for the Ralph Lauren line of outdoorsy today.
