Im headed to Florida, Naples to be specific, this weekend with the lady. Does anyone have some pointers on where to fish other than the beaches and pier? Any specific marinas I should try and bait to use? Id like to catch some grouper or snapper to cook up.

I don’t have any recommendations on where to fish in that area, but I’ve heard good things about Capt. Justin Napior if you are looking for a guide service.

Call up some of the captains down at the naples marina, given the storm that is coming it will be real wet this weekend, an inshore trip unless u enjoy rough seas

Last june, my wife and I visited Naples with some friends. after striking out with a few outfits that were already booked we got hooked up with captn Mark. Glad we did, we had a great time. We caught some fish, went on a tour of some nice houses and then he took us to a secluded beach where we got off an walked around for a while. The ladies loved it.

I ended up surf fishing Thursday and caught 3 snook. Rented a kayak in Delnor Wiggins state park and fished the mangroves and docks Friday. Caught 5 or 6 snook, 4 snapper, a jack and 2 catfish. Got them all by either freelining pilchards or using a “spidder rigging” technique off the front of the yak and running the tip of the rod in under each dock. This was quite effective. Well tapatalk sucks now and wont load more than two photos.IMG_7824.jpg
