Looking into rain gear. Was hoping for Kuiu Yukon set but it's really hard to come by. Wondering about people's thoughts on the Fitstlite set. How durable and quiet are they? Truly waterproof in an all day downpour or just good for the intermitant storms that pass through the Rockies. Also wondering about the fusion camo looks cool but how effective is it?
Looking for a size medium in pants and jacket.

I bought the stormtight jacket and have worn it a few times this past archery season in PA. Haven't put in through an all day downpour but I believe it will do the job. Honestly, it isn't the quietest IMO but not overly noisy. I was wearing mine when I arrowed my buck at 10 yards and he showed no signs of being alerted when I drew my bow. I have since bought the stormtight pants and intend on putting the full set to the test this fall. The majority of my FL clothing is in Realtree Xtra but I do agree that the new fusion pattern looks good. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the input. 10 yards is close enough for me! Do you stalk or tree stand? I'm always on the ground.

The majority of my hunting, and that particular hunt, is in a tree stand. Drew a WY deer tag today so I will be putting my time in on the ground this year.

Had had the Stormtight tops and bottoms since early this year. Have used it on two hunts on Kodiak and another out in coastal Alaska in that time as well as some time on the mainland. That said I am thus far very impressed with how well the Stormtight performs in the rain.

Awesome. Just picked up a jacket in fusion but having a hard time locating the pants in medium. How are they for off trail?

Not sure, they didn't say for off or on trail on the tags when I got them. ;) But I hike with them through the brush a lot and so far so good. ;)

My jacket has taken a beating this spring busting through all salix along the river and I've had zero issues. Last fall was my first season hunting with it and stayed dry through the heaviest of rain.

I used the full set all last summer and fall guiding pack trips and hunts in the wilderness of wyoming...Over 100 days of use where it was either tied to my saddle or on me if it rained...Gear held up incredible and I was amazed at how well it did in complete downpours which we actually had a lot of last year in western WY. When it comes to sound....if you are using it as rain gear..well the rain is usually louder than the fabric, so i wouldnt be to worried about it. I will be using it again heavily this year scouting and hunting the high country of Idaho and Wyoming. Cant go wrong with the stormtight series IMO

Yep. It's light and pack able so it will just come out when it's raining or dripping wet. I will probably be stalking in a soft shell the majority of the time. Thanks for the input! Sure does make this big ticket item a sugar coated pill to swallow. Cry once and be happy every time it's there and needed.
