Can’t believe this dream is getting close to being real. I hope everything continues to progress as planned. These arrived in the mail today and excited to be holding my first ever sheep tag.

That's awesome. I leave August 6 for my first ever sheep hunt. Can't wait. Wondering if I should buy my tags ahead of time with all the Corona B's or buy them when I get there. How long does it normally take to receive your tags??

Per my conversation with Bob at Alaska Fish and Game it will take up to 2 weeks to get the metal tag in the mail and the harvest tag can be printed after July 1
Did they mention what they would do if they end up closing sheep season due to covid as far as refunds go

I never ask that question and to be honest I am not worried about them closing Sheep season if they do they do I never waste my time worrying about things I can not control. I am going to be ready to do my part. The license are the cheapest part of my hunt
They're always the cheapest part of my hunts too Coy. :) Good luck to you man, I'm sure you're going to have a hell of a time up there. Guarantied you'll be seeing/hunting in some of the most beautiful country you've ever hunted in.

Thanks Troutbum I sure hope my last post did not come off as a smart AZZ because I never meant for it to I am excited and I hope everyone else that is going this year a great and successful hunt
Not at all man. Your right it is the cheapest part of the hunt lol. I was just curious if they brought it up. I booked mine 3 years ago I can't believe it's almost time. My biggest concern is I won't ever want to do anything else again but sheep hunt and my pockets aren't that deep

Good luck to you too. Would love to talk to you about the unlimited units some time. Live in Sheridan Wyoming now so those aren't that far away

I purchase the tags on 5/28 and received 9 days later in MO.

I spoke with a guy at Alaska game and fish about a month ago and asked him what he thought about buying my locking tag and license ahead of time. He advised me to wait and just buy them when I arrive in Fairbanks. He said that because of Covid, he wouldn't take the chance of buying the tags early and possibly losing the money. He made it sound like it's pretty quick and simple to get them once I'm there.

Should be super quick. Did they tell you to come into Fish and Game? Should be very fast.
