First silencer for 7 PRC suggestions

I’ve got a Bergara Crest in 7 PRC. I’m currently shooting it with the factory brake. After missing quick shot opportunities due to not having ear pro handy (yes, part of that is my fault), I’m done with the brake! I’d rather always be ready and keep my hearing.

That lead me to a silencer deep dive. I think I would prefer more recoil and sound reduction but I also don’t want something unwieldy to carry. I think I have narrowed it down to the Scythe and both DD Enticer models.

The DD Enticer lti is high on the list but I’m worried it will feel too long. My barrel is specced at 22” but that’s including the brake. Closer to ~20” to the crown.

Any advice? Am I missing something when considering a can for a magnum caliber?

I would put the Dead Air Nomad Ti XC in your top three list. The Nomad Ti XC is a very good compromise of size/weight and noise reduction.

I have the new DA Nomad LTi XC and I've only had it long enough to play around with it but, damn, it is a very quiet can. To my ear comparing it to my SAS 338 Vengeance shooting it on my 300blk out in the shop I couldn't tell any difference between the two which is saying something because not only is my 338 can much larger but it's a pretty darn quiet can.

I went back and forth between the new Nomad Ti XC and LTi XC before deciding on the longer and quieter LTi version but neither would be a bad choice because the shorter Ti XC is a pretty badass can.

So to answer you question, for me and what I plan to use it on, the longer Nomad LTi XC is worth it but I'll be honest with you since getting a notice from CA that they have the Ti XC's back in stock I've had my finger on the "buy" button numerous times in the last week and with how fast my last approval went through it's making it reallllllly hard to hold my finger off that button.

I don't recall who it was but someone here has shot the Scythe side by side with the new Nomad Ti XC and they said though the Scythe is slightly shorter and a couple ounces lighter the DA Nomad was noticeably quieter. Don't recall if they mentioned anything about the difference in felt recoil between the two.

The Ti would probably be more than fine but I'd hate to think I'm missing out on something by not getting the LTi.

I'm a one gun guy for all my hunting so this will live on my 7 PRC and be taken out for deer, elk, and antelope both on day trips and multi-day hunts in the mountains.

Lti is huge and long. I shoot a 20" 7mag with an LPM Mach S and am happy I went that route (vs bigger cans)
