If the customer didn’t want a rail no weight would be added to the stock with the scalloped forend. Only if a rail is added would a few ounces be added to the weight.B if weight is kept low. By low I mean about a half pound off a stock Tikka stock. Like the Stockys guy said, adding all of this stuff adds weight due to having to strengthen everything up with more material.

Confirm added due to the pict rail piece or added due to reinforcement? If the customer didn’t want a rail no weight would be added to the stock with the scalloped forend. Only if a rail is added would a few ounces be added to the weight.

Weight added for reinforcement plus you have the weight of the rail.Confirm added due to the pict rail piece or added due to reinforcement?

We plan to make this stock in all popular actions, we are just doing Tikka first.B
and this satisfies my desire for a tikka clymr.
And if it gets made in a rem 700 footprint it satisfies my need for a clymr there too.
DittoI voted B because it’ll save me a step. If you end up going with A, I’m going to do this to it. Would be so nice to have the rail flush and closer to the bore. I’m pumped on this project either way. Thanks @Stockys for your willingness to do this!
