I liked the review but was confused on the personal ratings mentioned and the vapor being in the middle of the rating.

1) Poor to no breathability,

2) Noticeable breathability

3) Not breathable.

Is the order from worst to best supposed to be;

3. not breathable
1. Poor to no breathability
2. noticeable breathability

So is the vapor "poor to no" or "noticeable"?

The Vapor is noticeably breathable.

IMO, a field test is hard to measure minute breath-ability. Jackets have to be drastically different to differentiate, unless you are mimicking the exact same scenario in the field, a feat I can rarely do. So, as I mentioned, I try to measure consistency via a controlled environment and then combine that with field testing. Jackets that breathe poorly, or don't breathe at all, are obvious. Comparing 3 high end, like designed jackets, takes a ton of time and effort to make the comparison, and one can end up going back and forth throughout the process. Adding to that, you have to be very focused on the jacket, when in fact you are out enjoying the great outdoors. A lab test helps, but its just one piece of the equation. At least in my mind. All I know is that FL is pretty upfront about their claims and they are willing to pay a 3rd party to validate, or disprove, their assumptions.
