Got them in the mail! Initial thoughts
Pattern: solace
Merino 150 1/4 zip- I normally wear a medium, this medium fit spot on! Lightweight, good pocket placement and well made. Seams (stickler item for me on clothing) are tight and solid.
Hardscrabble pant- well made, quality seam work. Hip vents are nice to have to dump heat. Good pocket placement. I normally wear a 32x32 and these are just a tad bit snug, but fit and will be worn on some upcoming hikes in the humid/heat of Alabama. I like the inner waistline ‘grab line’ which helps keep shirts tucked in…nice touch.
Hardscrabble jacket- this looks comparable and maybe even more robust than my Jetstream. I normally wear a large in jackets and the Large fits spot on. Nice pocket placement, pit zips, nice tight seams and the hood functions well.
Overall initial look over, try on, walk around outside is all positive. More to come!
