Can anyone comment if this pad similar to the Alpine model? Specs and r-value look similar.

They do look the same. If I had to bet, I bet they changed the color and altered the name so it would be in the First Lite collection as its own product.

I've got one of these. Pretty comfy. Especially when the wife puts you in the dog house. No issues with it and feels pretty durable.
