First elk hunt. What cartridge should I use?

All are different barrels for Blaser r8, so same stock would be used for each.

Put all three in hat, and pick one. Personally I would take 6.5 prc. But your going to get all kinds of answers and suggestions. I am sure some may even tell you to buy a barrel in a differant caliber. If you were confused before, just wait.

Of the options I'd take the '06. With a heavier bullet I'd take the prc something in the 140 gr range

2. is the elk broadside or quartering?
3. Approximate weight of the elk.
4. How windy is it?
5. Is he standing in brush or is it a clear shot?

Should be able to give you a good guess once I have that info.

Any of those rounds with the right bullet will kill an elk at the range you are talking about. So take whichever one you shoot the best and are confident in. You never know what's going to happen on an elk hunt, so you need to know what your bullet in your gun is going to do so you can decide in the heat of the moment whether or not to take the shot. Of course, you want a clean, killing shot for a successful end to your hunt. Good luck!
