All are different barrels for Blaser r8, so same stock would be used for each.
I would use the elk hunting forum
Looks like the scope is on the barrel, so if each are set up with a scope, take both the 6.5 and '06 and if one has an issue then you will have a back-up.
Was told most shots 100-300We need more information;
1. How far is the shot?
2. is the elk broadside or quartering?
3. Approximate weight of the elk.
4. How windy is it?
5. Is he standing in brush or is it a clear shot?
Should be able to give you a good guess once I have that info.
