No license revocation or jail time will prevent them from doing it again.
So, if that’s the case, what’s your proposed punishment?

Unfortunately, the courts are bound by the laws already in the books, and they favor the poacher. Stiff prison time would have to be changed in the Legislature, but that will never happen. That’s why this keeps happening. So, if that’s the case, what’s your proposed punishment?
30 days in the local jail doesn’t deter anyone.
BomarsToo bad they don't do this to all of them (MuleyFreak, Gritty, Lampers, Grey Light, Adam Greentree, etc.etc.)
These guys got what they deserved, but what they received seems much harsher than the Studer case. Which to me was way more involved in blatant criminal activity.
That big bank account definitely helped him out. I think he ended up with only 1 count, which was the moose.Agreed, but Karl Studer is a multimillionaire so he’s got that going for him with the criminal justice system.
Studer took how many elk and a moose out of unit 54 and got no jail time and only 5 years lost hunting privileges if I remember correctly? Not that I find any less value in mule deer personally but if they are going to use the draw odds for the place to justify the punishment most of unit 54 elk tags are 2-3% and a moose tag is less than 1% odds down there so Studer should probably be serving a life sentence
