Finally some good news: GAO Act passed the house

So for all the hunters and outdoorsmen that have embraced the democrats to get this passed, just remember that come November if you vote for the democratic platform you are voting to dismantle the oil and gas industry by the year 2035 and will be effectively be shutting the door or drastically reducing the funding for the LWCF.

Don't be a hypocrite

Pelosi testified in support of the bill during the debate.

Overall there was bipartisan support for the bill, but very few Democrats voted against it. Most of the votes against it were Republican, with some stating opposition based upon budget issues, others due to issues with the government purchasing and controlling more ground. The main lobbying groups I saw speaking out against it were livestock/grazing interest groups and to a lesser extent groups that support privatization of public lands.

Trump tweeted support for the bill earlier in the spring, then again right before the vote on the 22nd. Indications are he will sign it when it hits his desk, but that last step is still needed to make this thing official.

Please make sure to find out how your specific representative and senator voted on the bill. Do your research!!!
Very proud that AK's entire congressional delegation voted yea! (Uh, WY, WTF?!)
Overall, in both chambers, the bill got 132 nay votes....130 of them from Republicans....I guess now we know who the real party of conservation and outdoor rec is! :D

In case people want to see the votes.

Surprised Texas actually had several republicans that voted for it. Of course both our senators voted against it.
