Filter out Classifieds from "New Posts"?

The Classifieds here (WTS, WTB, WTT) are great, and maybe being forced to see those posts is like newspaper advertising and helps pay the bills. If so, great.

However, I like to think I have everything I need/want , so I wish there was a "New Posts" filter that hid new, "classified" content. If I feel the urge to shop, I just go to the full Classifieds Forums anyways.

Ya, the "new posts" shows me 7 pages each time and if I had to guess, the classifieds cover about 60%+ of those 7 pages.

I wish I could filter out the words God and Jesus from my state hunting forum. Not that I have anything against God and Jesus of course but I am tired of seeing the BAZAAR headlines that pop up. "Does Jesus love you?" Is the blood of Jesus pure?" "Will god accept you into heaven?" ect ect ect. Some crazy headlines coming from the "Religious forum" portion of the website.

Funny thing is that most of those jesus loving individuals are the same members causing all the trouble on the forum....lol

This is ridiculous. When I search for new posts, I don't want an entire page to be for sale posts from one person.

The fix is "easy-peezy" - even a caveman could do it!

Go to the "New posts" page. Click "Filters", then "Only selected nodes", then click just the nodes you want displayed. For those less computer literate, you can click the first node, then hold down the "Ctrl" key and select the additional nodes. When done, those that are greyed out will appear. Then click the "Save as default" box.

I have everything except Classifieds selected. If I want to view Classifieds, I just click "Forums" in the menu bar, then the particular Classifieds node I want to view. Good luck!

You are 100% correct on that. You should see the stuff I've bought from here that I didn't know I needed til I saw it on "new posts" list.
