Fierce Firearms Disaster

My wife bought a rival last year and it did good to shoot a 2” group at 100 with multiple loads tried in it. Sent it back and the rifle was returned with worse issues than before it was sent in the first time. Needless to say it was a one and done with us and Fierce.

Never looked and already said that’s on me. As stated earlier I don’t clean barrels on new guns before I shoot them. Maybe I should. I definitely look through every gun now better than before.

Also, I had my first kid right after my first time shooting it. Long story as well but he’s had 3 open heart surgeries. First one was at 5 days old. All that was going on when I was shooting the rifle. Shooting was a way to escape the hardest time in my life but I also wasn’t thinking the clearest.
This right here is why a lot of people need to learn stop and think before they reply someone. Everyone is so quick to jump on someone, and be a complete a$$hole. But they have no clue whats going on in someone's life.

I have a 2 year old son, and I can't imagine having to go through what your family went through. I am glad to hear your son is doing great, and God bless.

You might want to start looking at barreled actions, or full customs. But there are stillnplenty of other choices out there.

If Fierce is out, and Christensen is out.. who makes a comparable product for the same or less money?

For what these factory rifles cost you can do a semi/budget full custom on a factory action or something like a Mac Bros. Get the barrel, throating, twist rate, material etc you want instead of off the shelf.

Does Fierce ever come onto forums to defend their products? This is one of the most one sided and valid product roasts I've seen. Even if Rokslide is a small drop in the bucket, it's still a drop and this thread will really affect rifle sales on this site.

I am definitely noticing a common theme in the negative threads. Poor customer service seems to be at the top of the pile and that's what will make or break a company in this era.

While Rokslide might be a small forum a quick Google search by anyone “is Fierce a good rifle?” will likely return this thread.

I had a couple Fierce rifles. One was fine. One had to go back for a stuck bolt. Both were accurate but for $2400 I don’t expect to have to return a rifle for more work.

I would guess that the rifle came with a muzzle brake so even if OP had glanced at the muzzle, he likely wouldn’t have seen the lack of rifling.
That's a great point ..... but.. I have never bought a rifle new or used that i didn't run a couple patches down the barrel before the first firing. Seems the OP had a lot on his plate at the time bit just good practice ....

Excited about shooting a new rifle - I might not have noticed that my cleaning rod didn’t twist as it was pushed down the barrel. However, I might have been surprised that the first patch came out with absolutely no fouling…
