Feral horses

I see this thread is still going... So want to add/ask if anyone has been to the Eastern Shore of Maryland to Assateague park and seen the asshole feral horses they have now? They are worse than bears! Camping there we saw a band of horses circle around a family's campsite and close in on it. When the family came back the horses chased them away. The horses destroyed their campsite. The things can open coolers and will destroy them. Seriously it's nuts. I'm carrying bear spray or a cattle prod next time I go back as they harass you around your camp site...
