Cats outplayed the Bison. Bison were 2nd and long, 3rd and long most series. We got lucky. Tough loss for Bobcats. But I lost my voice cheering for Bison!

I made the comment to my wife about half way through the first quarter after Melott took about his 10th helmet to the numbers followed by a pancake that I didn’t think he’d make it to halftime with the abuse he was getting.

Glad SDSU won. Excited for the rematch now that it seems the Bison have finally worked out some of their regular season problems the last 4-5 games. Also good to see NDSU has hopefully FINALLY found a running back ready to pick up the torch. That’s one key position all the other Bison teams have had big time players at that this one has lacked. One of the best things to happen for them was not getting the first round bye.

Lost my voice, but can type :ROFLMAO: Great effort on both sides of the ball; I don’t think the Blue Hens will forget about that game for awhile. Bring on Furman!

I can't find a short snippet of it, but the Grizzlies have a big (really big) tight end, Evan Shafer. In the 3rd quarter, our quarterback was scrambling around for his life and found Evan open and hit him in stride, the Blue Hen safety tried to tackle him and literally was run over, like hit with a Mac truck run over! He then dragged two additional Blue Hen into the end zone for a touchdown.

I knew he was big, but looked up today- he's 6'5" 278 lbs!- that my friends, is a big tight end :D

Totally agree. Bison are pretty fortunate to move on.
Agree with both ya big time. But they finally played good enough to answer the call, cut down mistakes, score points, and give themselves the opportunity to close out the game against a good team. Something all those championship teams did. Even when they were outplayed, they kept it close and then had the confidence, talent, and discipline to close out all those close games over and over again during the run.

I still wouldn’t pick NDSU to win it all. USD could go either way and then who knows what happens. Their losses vs USD and UND were what looked like a lost team trying to find their job on the field, not so much less talented. The loss vs SDSU was a bison team that actually played decent and were just flat out bullied by a much better team.

William, I agree with everything you said except one thing-- the beat down UND gave em looked like a better offense sticking it to a thin defense to me.

This weekend will be interesting once again!
