Sounds like maybe they sent you different pants by mistake or something? Zions only have one cargo pocket and its on the side of the left leg. Or maybe you got a pair that were jacked up. I have a chama like that where the thumb hole is on the outside of the sleeve
For me the zions are my favorite so far. I haven't tried very many different pants just because they fit me so well. I wear them for everyday use and for hunting. I have 4 or 5 pairs. The only thing I dont like is that I have a hard time finding the darker colors I prefer on sale.
Mountain Hardwear Piero pants are pretty awesome as well. You can pick em up on ebay for like 30 bucks. They have an older carpenter pant and a newer version that is cut like jeans. Stretch Nylon canvas. I cant seem to rip them.
Kuiu chinook. Really really great pants, excellent DWR that sheds rain showers and dew, awesome pockets. Extremely comfortable. Some warmth but dumps heat great with hip vents. I have only wore them on one moose hunt but so far I think they are the perfect do all pants. For really warm weather they would be too warm and some nice light hiking pants would be a better choice. I have a pair of marmot pants for summer and really hot weather hunting use them but the chinooks for fall cool weather hunting.
