I'm always looking for something interesting in the horror genre to watch in my limited spare time. I put a some lists of my favorites and wanted to hear what others thought.

My modern favorites:
Hereditary (After seeing this one, nothing else seems to really get my blood pumping)
Midsommar
The Lodge
The Conjuring
Insidious

My classic favorites: (Tried not making them all Stephen King)
The Shining
Pet Semetary (1989)
Poltergeist
The Exorcist
Christine

Fun, but not necessarily horror:
Get Out
Talk To Me
The Autopsy of Jane Doe
It Follows
House of 1000 Corpses

Paranormal Activity is the only one that stuck with me for a while.

Smile was actually pretty good. Talk to Me was interesting, too.

Evil Dead
Halloween, all of them
Friday the 13th
Aliens, the second one and only the second one. (Probably more sci fi)

Creep 1 and 2 are mine and my wife’s favorites! They’ve got a good bit of humor mixed in, but as the title says they are a little bit creepy at times.

Shining an all time classic for sure!

The Ritual is a newer one about a group of guys backpacking in remote Europe (I think Sweden) I won't say anything more, but it's pretty good :)
