Is there a factory rifle, threaded for a suppressor, with compact stock for youth? Mostly looking at 7mm-08 cartridge.

Similar question, how far back would I need to cut a Tikka Compact 7mm-08 (already 20") for standard thread (5/8 x 24?)

Both were factory threaded the Ruger was 5/8x24 and the Mossberg was 1/2x28 I run silencerco omegas on both their rifles and both shoot sub moa with factory ammo. I would get the Mossberg it has three different extensions for length of pull, has a fluted barrel, and fluted bolt. Alot of features for a sub 400 dollar gun.FB_IMG_1634858845103.jpg

I have a Remington 783 that came with a threaded, heavy barrel in 223. It’s a fun, compact shooter. Cousin has it in a 308. We both bought them because of the factory short and threaded barrel to run suppressed.

The Tikka is a good gun and available In the caliber you’re looking at.

Had my daughters tikka compact 20” barrel threaded 1/2x28 for a brake. They didn’t shorten it much , just threaded it

Browning X-Bolt Micro, got it for my wife and my 10 year old son, they both shoot it very well and it fits them perfectly.

Never owned a Browning, that looks pretty sweet for the kid. I'd pull that muzzle brake off immediately.

You actually bought Compacts that had factory threaded muzzles? That's interesting if true. What threads?

The Tikka website doesn't list any of the Compacts as having threaded muzzles. My .308 Compact did not come with a threaded muzzle.

I bought this one in a 223. It comes with a 1/2x28 thread. The 308 comes in a 5/8x24 thread. Both have 16.5” barrels.

I'm real confused now. That doesn't look like any Tikka I've ever seen. That's a Tikka Compact sold in the US?

I don’t own a tikka, only shot a couple! The one I posted a couple post ago shows it’s available in 7mm-08, compact and threaded.

Ok. That makes more sense now. Didn't look like a Tikka, but I've been wrong before!

I think that listing you posting earlier from SWFA is wrong. I'm pretty sure none of the Tikka Compacts come threaded.

He was saying the Remington 783 was threaded and just pointed out a compact Tikka. Not saying that the Tikka was threaded.

He posted an online listing from SWFA that says the Compact is threaded, which I think is incorrect.
