Interesting bill they are kicking around in Columbia...dont know if it will go anywhere or legality of it in the end.
Good as place as any to start pushing back.
I have been meaning to research this Concept. I think under Title 10 every military aged male is technically in the “informal” militia. Lots of states have laws regulating private militias Though.

it is a hard topic for a layman to find an unbiased analysis of. Depending on the source, perspectives slant one way or the other.

246. Militia: composition and classes

(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.

(b) The classes of the militia are—

(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and

(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.

That’s dangerous. What will prevent a biased Democrat leaning legislature to make something perfectly legal now, to something criminal by passing laws after the fact? It could have a profound effect on every legal citizen in this country. It’s never going end with them. They want all guns gone. Period.
In Colorado, it is legal to open carry. But it is ILLEGAL to wear a mask while open carrying. Nice Covid conundrum they've put upon themselves....LOL.

I find it so unbelievable that most on the left are so incapable of common sense thought. Both sides will dig in there heels to defend their side but those on the left refuse to accept logic. The refusal to SEE what's happening in front of their own eyes. Yay! We got rid of Trump the world is going to be better now....give me a break! The inability to see it's not about Trump personally but the good things he did for this country. Open your eyes! The left is so clearly trying break this country apart! Ya I know they're highly educated and I just don't understand.....
Using logic.....they are either the biggest morons to ever inhabit the earth, or it's all intentional. Their actions and thought processes are very much illogical for what "we" want and expect for our nation. But their actions and thought processes are very much LOGICAL..........IF their end goal is the destruction of America. There is no other logical explanation, because that's the end result of all this idiocy.

IMHO, what you will end up with will be two different countries. This one will be torn apart. You will have states/pockets where the 2nd amendment counts, folks are generally pretty conservative, etc.

There will be other areas where ultra-liberalism is the norm and expected belief.

And the conservative areas will continue to fund the liberal areas.

Weekend at Biden's, sleepy Joe is talking about "common sense" gun control orders coming if Congress won't pass them. I don't like Executive orders no matter which party is in the White House. I imagine the Supreme Court will get busy pretty soon? However, this could just be pandering to his Marxist base and just talk? Looks like a looooong couple years until the next round of elections.....
I don't think its pandering...I know a bunch of folks were all over switching to blue, because of the Utah doctrine, Trump's an ass, or whatever...what did they think would happen to their rights? It's only a matter of time. We WILL lose our gun rights in due course, we already saw the power of executive orders during the pandemic as our civil liberties were suspended. As we all know, "never let a good crisis go to waste." I have no faith in the Supreme Court - it will be marginalized in time, diluted, filibuster gone...dark days ahead...and more than 1/2 the country thinks this is good! If Joe can't get it through, the next guy will...

How convenient! Lol So look for Colorado to keep the mask mandate going indefinitely!

Slowly.......the frog is being boiled.

Don't just donate to GOA, call your reps, write your congressman, talk to your local government, get on a first name basis with your sheriff. Go out and bring new people in to the culture, take someone new to the range teach them firearm safety and go plink with them.

I've changed quite a few minds with the last one, have yet to have anyone not leave happy afterwards.

Not putting down GOA I am a member, also a nra life member, as well and they do great stuff. As a member or just a gun owner in general we still need to be vocal in this and not expect them to fight for us alone.
You are right Wvroach and thanks for the reminder.

I have done a few intros, but I need to contact our congressmen.

Why does only the right call people names? You never hear Donald the Dick, Daughter Diddling Don, or anything like that. But its sleepy Joe. Crooked Hilary. It's unimaginative and quite frankly detracts from your point.

I also hate executive actions. I wish the Supreme Court would declare them unconstitutional. And I wish the left could step back and see how the actions of the seditious people at the capital illustrates why the 2 amendment is so important.
Man, how thick are those rose colored glasses you view the left through? Drumpf, Orange Man to name a couple. 4 years of calling everyone on the right racists, white supremacists, now domestic terrorists. Open your eyes.

Don't forget "deplorables". They absolutely hate red-blooded Americans because they know we are the only threat to their goals.

This is how it happens, little by little. And then people from California and Colorado scoff at residents of more conservative states when we balk at the regs coming down the pipeline that they have been living with for years. Makes me sick. Freedom my ass.

I'm feeling patriotic, specifically today, and am to the point where I'm ready to step onto the boat and throw some tea into the water myself.

I'm as guilty as anyone for being complacent, but at some point its got to stop. I'm just not exactly sure how to make it stop.
That is quite a wide brush stroke. I don't know any gun owners here that scoff at states with little regulation. Envy, jealousy, sure. When you live in a state like California, fighting for your 2A rights takes on a whole new meaning.

The left is extremely well versed in "Labels of Intimidation" to demonize political opponents and calling people names:

If you don't agree with open borders and don't support illegal immigration you are a nationalist or Nazi.
If you don't support children getting transgender mutilation or gay "rights" you are transphobic or a homophobe.
If you don't support BLM or you support your local police, you are a racist.
If you support the 2nd Amendment you are a domestic terrorist.
If you support Voter ID you are a "Jim Crow" and somehow a racist.
If you don't believe in abortion you are a misogynist..
If you are a white, conservative Republican you are all of the above and as Biden put it: "not a very nice person" or as Hillary put it a "deplorable".

People and politicians on the right focus on political leaders on the left. People and politicians on the left focus on everyday Americans to intimidate them from voting for people and politicians on the right or to simply silence them.

I honestly think he will hit 100 days and quit. That press conference was irrefutable proof he is in serious mental decline. Anyone doubts that, they haven't been around people with dementia. He literally read from notes and had sheets with reporter's names and faces on it. It's worse than we think. An God help him if he ever had a tough reporter - his anger (and he has an anger issue) will be ugly. We are in bad shape. Kamala is no better because she knows absolutely nothing about anything.
I actually figured he would eventually punch somebody or have some physical altercation that forced him to drop out. Guess we have the pandemic to thank for preventing that since he lived in his basement for a year

Your are out of your mind. Republicants, repuglicans, magats, trumptards, I see them posted daily. Both parties suck, but I get the very distinct impression that the left is all about hate. It's literally all they have to offer.

If the ATF adopts whatever EO he puts out we're kinda screwed, they are not exactly an agency you want any negative interactions with. Here's an interesting article I just found on Trumps EO on bumpstocks.

The ATF is obligated to follow EO's, just like any employee of any company is supposed to follow company policies set by the CEO, kinda one in the same. No private citizen answers to the CEO of the nation, aka, the POTUS.

As far as a citizen having to comply with a public policy handed down without the legislative process, that is completely illegal and the SCOUTS had better pull its collective head out of its ***.

The bump stock ordeal was an illegal action as it was something that required a bill, debate, vote for approval, and signature into law. If bump stocks are something that were regulated, it has to follow the process. You cannot create felons overnight with the stroke of a pen. Our Constitution forbids that, which is the purpose for its existence in the first place. It makes a monarchy obsolete.

No citizen is obligated to follow any illegal law and the inherent problem with this country is people live in fear of the Gestapo...

You've got an 800 pound gorilla in your corner and you want to weaken it.

You must be a special kind of stupid.
Rick Scott and the NRA really stepped up for gun owners in Florida after the MD School shooting didn’t they? No they didn’t. The NRA loves to take credit for law cases they wouldn’t take on but someone else did and won. Florida man calling me stupid? LOL.

NRA is weak and infested with crooked board members who protected their spots by passing new rules for nominations and election So they can keep compromising my rights away. F the NRA, I’m a life member and want nothing to do with them anymore.
