Who is jocko? And why should I listen to him? Is he a good influencer? All I pay attention to anymore is the Bible, hunting, fishing, and shooting. I gave up all news over a year ago and I feel my life has improved greatly since. Between all the freak shows on the left and conspiracies on the right I decided I have had enough and that the odds of me changing anything in that realm are very slim. I will do some research when the next election rolls around, vote, then get back to God, family, and the great outdoors. P.S. I wonder how this Jocko character makes money?

He's out to make money like anyone else. He also is trying to bring back manufacturing to the U.S. He's a partner of the company Origin Maine. They just bought out FOX racing last year and have several manufacturing facilities in Maine and North Carolina. Everything they make is completely sourced and manufactured here in the US. Boots, clothing, supplements and energy drinks. They started a hunting line that everyone here hates because he's "not a real hunter". I guess all the Chinese slaves that make Sitka are real hunters. He has a great podcast that teaches about leadership, sacrifice, responsibility and patriotism. From what I can tell from listening to a couple hundred hours of his podcasts, I think he's a really good man.

Some news outlets are better than others. I start my day with Reuters which seems to be pretty objective and fact-based. AP is supposed to be pretty good as well. I haven't seen the sensationalism with Reuters that you find from Fox or MSN/CNN and they generally report what appears should be reported on, rather than them injecting bias based on which stories they lead with or they cover.

Digging around and just found this, which seems to line up with what I have observed.

I don't know this guys politics, but he exposes a lot of what anyone with common sense already knows. He does not deny coivd is real, as I don't. Covers a lot about the "fear", ie, brainwashing that lead people to "follow the science".

A pretty powerful podcast/ Youtube video with Jocko Willink and Tusi Gabbard Titled, Everyone is Being Brainwashed

They discuss how powerful the internet is in shaping our opinions and the ‘why’ these algorithms are so dangerous.

Besides the examples they give it can be applied to everything. We need to retain our critical thinking skills…AND protect our kids from these algorithms that can literally wreck young minds.

Jocko has had some great podcasts recently and this one is a good example of that, good stuff.

I do as well. I think substack is one of the true last bastions of good reporting we have left. I also listen to breaking point quite often as well.
