Elmer Fudd stories from the 2025 season?

I was setup opening morning above a nice drainage looking all the way down to private land just over a mile away. The moon was so bright I could see elk on the opposite hill side. Sweet! I can get into them right away.
6am and I see a faint light down on private and think it’s a ranch hand. The light gets brighter. Really bright. A SXS with light bars a plenty. Then he proceeds to comes half way up the drainage, stop, shine his lights up on a hill side, then continue up the drainage.
Then I see the elk trot away before he gets to them. He goes all the way to the top top part to glass.

Seems like a lot of SXS behavior is crazy and obnoxious. But my guess is they play the volume game. IE if I come here everyday twice a day I’ll see an animal eventually and be able to snap off a shot. Still…obnoxious.

Spent an opening morning about 1/4 mile off a road, overlooking a saddle deer move through. About 30 minutes after first light, I hear some doors slam. Half an hour later 7 guys come walking together make their way down the hill. I could hear them talking loudly from 300 yards away. One guy rips a huge fart and they all laugh. I get up and make myself seen and they don't care. One guy walks towards me and the others spread out to the left. He walks up and sees me staring at him. He nods, and walks past and through where I was overlooking. I threw a softball sized rock and hit him in the back of his stupid head and he rolled to the bottom of the hill and learned his lesson never to do that again. Ok, I made up the last part.

I have a story from turkey hunting some public this spring... We have a decent amount of public nearby that is draw only for turkeys. Drew the first 3 days of the season and had a few groups of birds located preseason. Had the place to myself for the first 2 days then as I'm getting ready to head into the woods on the third another car pulls up at the sign in station. I go over and talk to the kid and he ask where I was headed. There is a small nearly an island about half a mile away. I had a good run in with a bird the previous morning and tell him I'm headed that way and he says that's where he is going too. Imagine having 700 acres around and following the only other hunter around onto a 50 acre island... I'm kind of upset and tell him good luck and head out. I get to where the trail splits and one heads to the south part of the Island and the other goes to the west and decide to wait for him. The access is on the NE end. He catches up a few minutes later and I tell him I'm headed south and would appreciate it if he would hunt the west side but its a free country. I got a bird and was home by 8 so didn't have an issue but it bugged me a bit.

Nothing too crazy. CO 3rd season. I was glassing a small basin from lower down. Right at sunrise 2 dudes show up right at the top in full sun, wind blowing down into the basin They glass for a few minutes skirt around the top (fully skylined) spook off the 8-10 deer I had been watching. They finally see the 2 small forties in the group and run over to try to get in a shooting position. While this was happening the 2 bucks had moved around the nose of the opposite ridge out of sight.Eventually they walk off. I get a text from my buddy hunting nearby about 30 minutes later that he had 2 dudes walk right by and wave. 10 minutes later they were back. They had parked right behind my truck in a random spot off a crapy fs road. All very amusing to watch but frustrating

I just prentend hear Benny Hill music playing whenever i see a group of pumpkins bumbling up a perfectly skylined ridge in prime time.
