Trying to decide between a 5mm Easton Axis Match Grade shaft in 340 spine or 300 spine. Current set up is: Mathews Halon 32 at 70# with a 28" DL. Arrow length from throat of nock to end of carbon would be 27.5 or 28 inches preferably as I shoot a 100 grain right bevel Helix broadhead. I would like to add 50 to 75 grains of brass to the end of this shaft to improve FOC but don't want to be underspined. In the past I've shot a Gold tip Kinetic 340 spine at 28.5 inches nock to carbon with 3 fletch Max Hunter AAE vanes and wraps and 75 grain Easton Brass HIT inserts. Total arrow weight for this set up was about 500 grains. This arrow tuned well out to 45 yards but anything beyond that was not consistent.
