I bought 3 Banish cans from Silencer Central on Dec 20th. They ran my card on 12/22. Set up my ATF eform acct on 12/23. I returned digital photo and mailed fingerprint cards the same day they notified me. Then, SC dicked around until certify call on Feb 19th. I received emails from the ATF on Feb 26th saying they were 'submitted'. They still don't show up on my ATF account. Do any of you guys have your purchases show up on the ATF site?
Silencer Central has been terrible for a friend of mine. On 3 separate cans they took over 2 months last year to submit paperwork. Just ridiculous.

SS has been a total cluster IMO... I purchased my can back in Jan based on the "90 days" and it still hasn't even been submitted to the ATF. I've been waiting 8 weeks from eforms for it to be ready to certify. I reached out a couple weeks after signing the eforms and was told my can was about to be shipped to my dealer and would be ready to certify soon. 2 months later and nothing...

Not to mention it takes HOURS sometimes to even get in touch with someone there, even through chat. I will not be purchasing through SS again.

I had a similar issue, though it was resolved in a matter of weeks. My issue was that I initially bought a one shot trust or whatever first before being told my state doesn't recognize those. No big deal, got the other individual trust option and was good to go. Except on SS's end, they had both forms attached to my purchase. I don't know why they never reached out but I basically just had to get someone on the phone and explain I just wanted the one that works in my state. Was ready to certify the next day.

Sorry for the ignorance but can someone tell me how to find out the status of my application on the Eforms ATF site. Like many, I too purchased my can through Silencer Central. They dicked around but finally walked me through the ATF form for submission several wks ago. I'm just trying to find out if it was ever submitted to ATF properly as I don't see anything reflected in my eForm account.

You should have gotten an email when it was submitted that had electronic versions of the form submissions attached. If you did, it was submitted.
The only way to check on your submission is to call your NFA branch. You need your dealers name and the serial number of the suppressor. I personally don’t like telling people to call, because you are taking up time that the person you are talking to could be moving applications through the process.

I could be mistaken but I don't think the people processing the applications and doing background checks are also doing the customer service.

i'd tend to agree. per our discussions with the ATF, they're not doing background checks. the atf processes the application and then sends them over to the fbi for the background check. and the fbi has no mandate to actually do the background check in a timely manner, which is why these things generally take 10 months. sure our atf contact could have been throwing the fbi under the bus, but she was pretty helpful and clear on a range of issues and i see no reason to doubt her. and i highly doubt the people answering the phone are doing any processing.

in other news, they're doing a great job of batching paperwork. so if you've already submitted a form4 in the past few months, go buy another suppressor or two. might get them all back right quick....

Got an eform back. Individual through silencer shop.

Certified 1/18
Approved 4/7

80 days

Got another certified 1/24 I’m waiting on

I certified the same day... Wasn't optimistic about the 90 days then but hard not to be hopeful now...

Mine was a single shot trust through silencershop.
