Hey guys, bumping this back up. I've been trying to find a late season Nov/Dec pant and so far I haven't really liked many of the options yet. They are either too loud, too warm for hiking, too cold when stationary, don't fit for crap, don't have vents, etc etc...This would be used for both elk and deer hunts in the Mtns and on the plains, primarily rifle hunts. These would be day hunts from my house or a base camp.
So, now I'm considering my first pair of puffy pants. I am a bigger guy and sweat a lot, so for cold weather I'd just use my Attacks while moving, and slip the puffy on while stationary.
Are they a pain to get on and off, if only for a brief period of time?
Do they come off and pack up quick if ya gotta make a quick move on an animal? Or do you guys do some hunting while wearing them in certain situations?
If I buy, I'm leaning towards the Kuiu SD Pro. For sure a full length zip is a must for me. Are these pants packable enough (2x or 3x) to lash to the outside or bottom of an Exo 1800? Do they run small?
Thanks
