Does anyone else hate mid/low boots and prefer to wear 8-10 inch for everything?

The only time I wear taller boots is in snow. If you think about it, if you want to stalk game quietly it's a lot easier to do this with lighter boots that are less stiff with thinner soles. It's always nice having stiffer soled boots with a little more ankle support when hiking on side-hills and rougher terrain. I usually cover lots of miles of rough country and prefer a medium height/weight hiking boot. They are also my go-to boots I use in Alaska for sheep and mtn goats.
